The grass will always be greener. Someone will always have it easier. Worse people than you will find success and better people will fail.
The only thing that you can control…is you.
Stop talking. Start doing.
Announce when it’s finished. Quietly tinker.
If your job is to produce a product. Then produce. Don’t celebrate that you’ve done what you’re there to do. Don’t throw the party before the victory.
You don’t see accountants throwing staplers across the room when you walk in the door and throwing a victory belt signal across their belly. It doesn’t happen.
But when you walk in, they are seeing dollar signs.
Emotions and passion give you the drive to do impossible things. But they can also make a fool of you.
Nose to the grindstone. Growth through repetition. The flicker of an ever present flame. Burn that midnight oil. Don’t be consumed by all flash and no fire.
Talent recognizes talent.
If you want your word to have value, both from your mouth and on the page, don’t let your tongue wag the pen.
If you want to be a storyteller. You have to tell a story. Otherwise. You’re just another false pundit.Be a doer.
