There may actually be nothing better than waking up before your alarm and realizing that you don’t have to get up yet.Knowing that you get to postpone the inevitable kick to the face the world is going to provide you that day, nuzzle back into the pillow and bring the blanket back up is a gift.It is also a false sense of hope.
Now, understand, I’m not anti-sleep. I fully support it, and truly hope that one day, it becomes my full-time job.Regretfully, in order to fulfil that specific dream, I will be dead.
Every day that you try to accomplish something, the world is going to go out of its way to not give a damn. Not even a little one.
It’s hard not to take that personally.
Darn near impossible.
Yet, we must persist.
Because to give in would mean that nothing new would ever be done.Or worse yet, more of the same would be shoved down our throats.
Who needs that?
Are you looking to fill the void in your life with more of the same?
It’s a grind through the trenches.Nobody ever said it would be easy.
Trench war is the worst kind of war. Some don’t make it out.Nobody ever leaves the same.
It can either become a figurative or literal grave.
That’s the thing about fighting the whole world. One way or another, the house always wins.
You have to choose your battles and make your concessions before there’s nothing left of you to throw around.None of us will ever make it out alive… but the hope is that the work that we put in today, will last and be appreciated long after we are gone.
There are a lot of us out there.Little pendragon’s litter the skyline with flickers of light.
Don’t be restless. But rest secure in the knowledge that even though you may feel alone, you are in very good company.
If what you are struggling through were easy, someone else would have done it already.
The creative world needs you.Even if they haven’t seemed to realize it yet.
