An Artists Chance

An Artists Chance- by Zeke

The action over talk aspect of delivering a product means that you have to make it, before you “make it.”

The hours of time, the honing of skill, the…luck.

It all means that you need to actually create something that is out there for people to see, before you can take or be given any credit for the accomplishment.

That is, unless you’re an asterisk artist.

Meaning that you’re just fake making content to push it out without really knowing the “hows” or “whys” of any of it.

You may even be able to look at it and think…”I wonder who made that…”

It’s as ridiculous as it is infuriating.

AI is the product of an *artist.

Why bother with fake intelligence, if you hope to be taken seriously for your ability/intelect?

Art is most certainly a fools errand.

It’s not a structured career path.

It’s not a given.

But for those of us that do it…it’s akin to breathing.

Not at all in that it comes naturally, but in that if we don’t create…if we don’t make…if we don’t deliver…we cease to live.

In the mix of life.

People often hope for a ‘fighters chance.’

A hope that once the punches start to land, you can find a window for success before you’re knocked out.

Even if you’re punching above your weight class.

Why can’t the same be said for art?

We are going to get hit.

Mike Tyson said, “everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face.”

That’s the thing.  We all get hit.

It’s how we react once the blow’s land that creates windows of opportunity…even if they are a bit blurry.
