It’s a foolish world.
Maybe the sage wisdom of Solomon turned a blind eye?
We live in an environment where commercial doesn’t just reign, it kills.
Articles are written with subverted text, just to bury the content and bring out the Search Engine Optimization.
The dumbification of journalism has been countered by ineptitude and unwavering faith in an inanimate ai.
Somehow, we have allowed common sense to become a rare commodity…
and in doing so, ushered in a reality where people are more likely to support (i.e. financially infuse)
a troll (someone who intentionally posts irrelevant and disruptive comments) veiled with fake (sic artificial) intelligence rather than encourage a struggling artist with original content.
If you think that’s harsh or unfounded, think again.
When you watch content, you are giving that content time.
Based on current algorithms for streaming, that time you’ve given them equates to real money.
The same works for AI, except it’s an actual human benefiting from stealing other people’s works…by getting you to look at it.
By giving it time…you have given it money…and also credence.
Unfortunately, the same does not apply for real artists…face to face.
If you give an artist time, by attending a gala, or going to an event, that doesn’t mean that you walk away with a purchase.
All of this to say, pay attention..
If you want to see more art, or support more artists, make a conscious effort to do so
If you want to kill art and leave the shards of humanity to bots…keep doing what you’re doing.
Support thrives under curious eyes.
