All said and done.
Our acts boil down to an obituary and a headstone.
What you leave behind, defines you.
Whether you like it or not.
Is it an estate fight?
A land grab?
In my case, a pile of crap that more than likely someone else already owns…
You have to value yourself before anyone else will care about what you’re doing.
Countless classic artists, both of brush and pen, died in squalor… only to have their works become ‘priceless’ after their death.
Those works came at a cost.
But those costs are not publicly reported.
They came in time and energy.
Sacrificed at the alter of ambition.
Your value as an artist cannot be defined by someone else.
YOU, have to value you.
What you put out there has to mean something to YOU before it matters to anyone else.
Otherwise, what’s the point.
There are jobs out there.
Careers are calling.
But if you’re life’s work is to make a stand and create an impact…make it matter…to YOU.
