Panic and lament can exacerbate any creative block.
And while there are things to get worked up over, keeping a level head in a time of hardship is rarely a downside.
I recently learned that there is a Tunicate commonly called a Sea Squirt.
They travel along the ocean, but once they find the location the plan to permanently reside in… they plant themselves, and then eat their own brain.
Like a sea zombie with an appetite for self-destruction.
What do they need that for anyway?
They’re stuck in their new location until they age out or are consumed.
What else is there to think about?
A sedentary life will kill any creative.
You have to stimulate your mind with movement.
You have to experience life.
Some things you just can’t learn from a book or a screen.
Get up.
Get out.
Inspiration is a tangible commodity.
And whatever you do…
Don’t lose your head.
